Minutes after media from all over the world echoed this information, from the Gresini team’s own networks they launched a tweet denying that their boss had died, although he was in “critical condition . ”

This leak blew up several members of the paddock of the Motorcycle World Championship, with furious criticism of the media in general and those who had launched the news as confirmed in particular. Especially hard was Lorenzo Gresini , son of the ex-driver:

“I want to thank the press who have been so tactful when communicating an unverified news. You are vultures . My great father is very ill, but today will not be his day,” he wrote in their networks.

Hours later, he had to mourn the loss of his father, already confirmed.
