Filgut Fest, Art, Music And Non-Alcoholic Drink
Filgut and MidNight Live recently held Filgut Fest, a pioneering event that mixed music and art in one space with the non-alcoholic beverage created by Filgut. With the festival, Filgut Kombucha , the artisan drink made in Sant Cugat del Vallès, designed by Quim Muns and Oriol Aguilar , the founding partners of the brand, was made public. The drink, fermented without alcohol and handcrafted with organic Sencha green tea and other natural ingredients, began to take shape in California in the summer of 2018 during a music tour.
The goal is for Filgut festivals to serve as a loudspeaker for “genuine, close, original and brave bands, ” according to their promoters. During the first of these events, the performances of three artists took place in full swing. Sara Sístole, a young Galician artist, presented, among others, her latest single ‘Tan Guapa’. Joanna Crass, from Barcelona, who has accumulated more than 1.8 million views on Spotify in the last year, made the audience vibrate with her style of R&B and elegant pop. And the group Tversky, with their cosmic electro funk and eighties rhythm, managed to fill the dance floor.
But the event did not have only music. Exclusively for the festival, artists Laura Liedo, Perrine Honoré and Daniela Efe, curated by fellow artist Marta Pérez Tuki, created four posters and four original works of art inspired by what the Filgut Kombucha drink transmits to them and their moments of enjoyment.
According to the promoters, Filgut Kombucha “has a high nutritional value and is probiotic, rich in amino acids and essential organic acids, antioxidant, with vitamins B1, B2, B6, B12 and C, improves the immune system and provides energy”.
