Serrat Announces The First Concerts In Spain Of His Farewell Tour
Joan Manuel Serrat has published this Tuesday the first confirmed concerts in Spain of his farewell tour , El vicio de cantar 1965-2022 , which will begin on April 27, 2022 in New York , will tour Latin America and Spain and will conclude on December 23 in Barcelona.
The announced dates are: Murcia (June 8, Plaza de Toros), Bilbao (June 11, Euskalduna Palace), Valencia (Plaza de Toros, June 30), Alicante (August 3, Plaza de Toros), Pamplona (September 17, Navarra Arena) and Granada (23 September, Plaza de Toros).
It continues with San Sebastián (October 8, Kursaal Auditorium), Zaragoza (October 12, Príncipe Felipe Pavilion), Madrid (December 13, WiZink Center) and as a final closing, Barcelona (Palau Sant Jordi, December 23).
Tickets will go on sale this Thursday , December 9, from 10:00 a.m. on the singer’s website and in El Corte Inglés, both on his website and in physical stores.
Serrat, singer-songwriter, poet and composer, recently announced this farewell tour in an interview with El País. The objective is “to say goodbye personally to the public with whom he has shared life and songs for more than half a century.”
“I have decided to say goodbye in person. I did not like feeling fired by a plague, ” explained the 77-year-old singer, author of mythical songs such as Mediterráneo , Penelope or El pupiritero .
